A silicone part for a product you already make

Custom Silicone Components

When a product needs a silicone component — a sleeve, a grip, a seal, a gasket — we size it against the part it must fit and quote the mold that gets it there.

  • Made to fit the product you already have
  • Material, hardness and finish agreed before tooling
  • Repeat orders use the same reference sample

Custom silicone components

A silicone part that fits the product you already make

For companies whose own product needs a silicone component: a sleeve, a ring, a seal or a grip that has to fit something that already exists.

Yiwu Gaoran Trading Company coordinates the project and carries the commercial side: evaluation, quotation, contract, payment, delivery and after-sales. The tooling and the parts are produced by a long-term partner silicone factory. Depending on the part, it is made from a tool built for you, or from an existing factory mold the factory is allowed to use for other clients, with your colour, logo and packaging.

The difference matters at the start, because a part on an existing mold has different minimum quantities and fewer steps to a quotation than a part that needs new tooling.

What has to be defined

The component is only half the drawing

A silicone part is judged by how it behaves on the product it is made for, so the product has to be part of the brief.

Size and the mating part

Sizing comes from the geometry the part has to sit on or in: inner and outer diameter, groove width, wall thickness, the surface it grips. A sample of the mating part is often the clearest way to get this right, and we may ask for one.

Performance requirements

What the part must do: seal, grip, insulate, cushion, flex repeatedly, take heat or survive repeated washing. Stated as requirements, these decide the material and the hardness.

Fit and assembly

How it is put on the product, whether it has to be removed again, how much stretch or compression it sees, and which tolerances are free and which are not.

Material and finish

Materials, hardness and finish

The silicone grade is chosen from the use, not from a catalogue default. Food contact, repeated flexing, sealing, heat and outdoor exposure each point to different starting points, and the factory confirms what it can supply for your specific part.

Hardness is agreed with the sample, together with the material. Finish is either the tool surface or a defined texture; it is agreed on the sample, because the same drawing can read differently in two tools. Where a part must match an existing component, the sample and the mating part settle the look.

Colour, logo and packaging are specified per order. A logo can be molded into the tool or applied afterwards, and that choice affects both the tooling and the minimum quantity.

Existing molds

When the part can run on an existing tool

Some components can be produced from an existing factory mold that the factory is allowed to use for other clients. Your order then carries your colour, your logo and your packaging, and no new tool is needed.

Parts made from an existing mold are not stock. They are produced after your order is placed, so the sizes and shapes available are the ones that tool already makes, and anything outside them is a new tool.

Consistency

Batch consistency and repeat orders

A component that fits once has to fit the same way in the next batch. Production is checked against the confirmed sample, the confirmed drawing, the key dimensions and the agreed function, and the factory keeps a signed reference sample on file.

For repeat orders, the same reference is used. For new orders, the quoted unit price at each quantity tier is held for 12 months after the mold is paid, for the first mass-production order. A repeat order is still quoted and confirmed as its own order.

Scope per order

Where our delivery stops

An order can cover the silicone part alone, or the silicone part together with other parts bought in and assembled into a finished item. Which of the two applies is written in the quotation and agreed per order, because the two carry different requirements and different inspection.

The same applies to everything around the part: packaging, labelling, inserts and shipping are itemised per order rather than assumed from the drawing.

Send the product drawing or a sample and a description of what the part has to do on the inquiry page. Evaluation and quotation are free. If your review shows that no existing tool can make the part, read custom silicone tooling for how a new mold is quoted, built and owned.
